FIFA promotes concussion awareness and education

The FIFA World Cup is coming to North America this year, and Vancouver is getting ready to host the world in Summer 2026. Where will you be watching?

Now is a great time to remind all soccer players, whether you’re young or old, or play semi-professionally or in a community league, that concussions can and do happen in soccer.

In 2024, FIFA and the World Health Organization launched a global concussion awareness campaign. Called Suspect and Protect, the campaign aims at educating players on the signs and symptoms of concussion, the importance of reporting, and how to appropriately manage a return to play.

The resources are available in multiple languages, including English, French, German, Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese (Brazilian).

Whether you call it soccer or football, we need to protect our brains. View the campaign and resources at fifa.com
