Canadians are encouraged to support the call to our federal government to establish a National Strategy on Brain Injuries Act.

This grassroots movement is lead by brain injury survivors, family members, and is supported by Brain Injury Associations, service providers, researchers, and organizations across Canada.

Alistair MacGregor, MP for Cowichan-Malahat-Langford introduced Private Members Bill C-277, stating, in part, that the Minister of Health must, in consultation with representatives of the provincial governments responsible for health, Indigenous groups and relevant stakeholders, develop a national strategy to support and improve brain injury awareness, prevention and treatment as well as the rehabilitation and recovery of persons living with a brain injury.

The National Strategy on Brain Injury initiative has garnered the support of organizations across Canada and the Yukon, including MPs from the Liberal, NDP, and Conservative parties.

We encourage you to write to your MP and ask they support Bill C-277.
